Rick Cooley, PhD

Research Assistant Professor

After graduate training in biochemistry and structural biology under Dan Arp and Andy Karplus at Oregon State, Rick worked with Ryan Mehl to set up the first Unnatural Protein Facility here at OSU before continuing to a second post-doc with Holger Sondermann at Cornell University. Still captivated by the potential of Genetic Code Expansion technology, Rick moved back to OSU to continue working at the UP Facility and to start his faculty career in GCE research and structural biology. Rick is now the lead of one of the Technology Development cores of the GCE4All Research Center.
